These terms apply when you use PZ2 Animals at https://planetzoo2animals.com. They are short because the site is simple: a free animal database and planning tools, no accounts and nothing for sale. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
An unofficial fan site
PZ2 Animals is made by fans of the game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Frontier Developments, which makes and publishes Planet Zoo 2. Game names and trademarks belong to their owners, and we use them only to say which game the site is about. For help with the game itself, your account or your purchase, please use the official channels on the Planet Zoo website.
Pictures
Game pictures are labeled where they appear, including whether an image was edited with AI. AI-edited images can change visual details and are not evidence for what an animal needs. We do not use Frontier's own promotional pictures, and we take any picture down the same day if its owner asks. Our own illustrations and charts may not be reused without permission; the About page explains how to ask.
Using the database and tools
Everything here is free to use for your own zoos, and there is nothing to sign up for. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote a few sentences with a link back to the page they come from. Please do not copy whole animal tables, data sets or tools to another website or app, or present them as your own work.
A plan you save in the habitat planner and the ticks in the release checklist are kept only in your own browser, so clearing this site's data removes them. The Privacy Policy explains this.
How far you can rely on the information
Animal needs come from Frontier's official online Zoopedia first. Where it has no numbers, we use what players show in the game, but only when two independent sources agree; anything only one player reports is marked “Player reports, not yet verified” and never feeds a tool. Planet Zoo 2 keeps receiving updates, so a number here can change or turn out to be wrong. That is why each list and guide page shows when it was last updated and which version of the game it describes.
Check anything important in the game yourself before you rely on it, especially before you build a large habitat. The site is provided as it is, without any promise that it is complete, correct or always available. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses in your zoos, or anywhere else, that come from using it.
Ads and links to other sites
Some pages load Google AdSense to show ads, which pays for the site. Google chooses the ads, not us, and an ad is not a recommendation. Links to other websites, such as Frontier's online Zoopedia, are there so you can check our sources. We do not control those sites. How ads use cookies is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Corrections
If something here does not match your game, please tell us through the Contact page. When you send a correction or an idea, we may use it to improve the site. We never publish your email address.
Changes to these terms
We may change the site and these terms. When the terms change, we update the date at the top of this page, and the version shown here is the one that applies. Questions about these terms: email hi@planetzoo2animals.com.
