What matters most for performance
- Frontier says big zoos with many animals and guests need more processor power and depend less on the graphics card; if lowering graphics settings does not change the frame rate, the processor is the limit.
- On a laptop, Frontier suggests extra cooling so the processor can keep its higher speeds.
- Microsoft has ended support for Windows 10, so Frontier cannot promise Planet Zoo 2 will keep working on it.
Consoles, Mac and cloud play
On consoles, Planet Zoo 2 runs on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a complexity meter that limits how much you can build to keep performance steady. There is no Mac version and no version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch. Without a capable PC, NVIDIA GeForce NOW is the official cloud option. Release dates, prices and the rest are in the Planet Zoo 2 release date, price and platforms answers, and the Deluxe Edition page compares the two editions.
